These can range from UCB portal, the library within Summer Row, a number of computers which can be located through all three campuses. The software on the computers are very helpful for everyone and I believe the Microsoft Office Download which includes all of the documents you need such as: Powerpiont, Word etc, is a huge help becuase this allows all students to download this for free which honestly is amazing. Another learning resource which I believe is a huge help for all students is the introduction of Canvas. Canvas can help everyone, from weekly lecture notes to assignments, it has everything we need. The teachers are also a huge help and they are willing to give us any resources we need. Each week can be different but the teaching never changes which I love. This can involve 5 weeks of lectures based around the same assignment but the lecture is always fun becuase they make you feel comfortable, they make you feel interested. Whether or not you are interested within the assignment, the teachers we have, allow us to get interested becuase you are also able to learn so much things you never actually knew. Gillian Smith, Ricky Behan, Karen Pinney, Michelle Callahan are all exceptional teachers who I believe are great teachers, they are also extremely friendly and offer great support although Pat doesn’t teach me, she is also a loving lecturer who is extremely good at what she does. Throughout the units we are doing now, all of these teachers should be Recognised for the great teaching skills and hard work. They offer great help and when we have any problems regarding the assignments they are always willing to help and explain the assignment to us. We can also book an appointment with them to talk further. I love how all the lecturers have great knowledge about the assignment becuase this also helps us. Recently we also went to Berlin as part of our assignment ‘Tourism & Media’ & on the behalf of the class, we all want to thank Ricky to putting this trip together becuase it was such an amazing time and we were able to understand the different cultures and environment, he done an amazing job. Also if we needed support, our year manager Gill and head of tourism Michelle are always willing to talk to us and help with any problems we have which I think is amazing. A 2 hour lecture can often see students losing concentration towards the end. In 2nd year we used apps such as kahoot and these were well received by many.
