They spoke Eastern Aglonquian.

The powhatans had songs and dances for almost everything from morning to war.

Both women and men  built houses. 

The children would learn from the elders what their role/responsibility's are. 

While the women worked they would carry their babies on their back using cradle boards.

Men and Women got married at puberty.

Marriage to the Powhatan people was exchanging gifts and feasting. 

The Powhatan men could have as many wives as he wanted as long as he could  afford it.

boys wrestled and raced. They also played games similar to soccer and field hockey.  
geographic: coastal plain of Virginia. animals included, deer, raccoon, opossums, turkey, squirrel and more. they had hard winters and cool summers. They had a food plain full of resources.
culture: vegetables were common in summer and fall, the men also hunted(deer, raccoon, opossums, turkey), women farmed, gathered, made clothing, and prepared meals. They painted their bodies and had piercings and it was common to wear necklaces to show status. They worshiped gods and spirits, the two major ones were Ahone and Oke. 
Economic:
Political: Supreme chief dominated,their leaders had absolute control,   each tribe had it's own chief. Powhatan ruled by a system of laws along with his own commands. He and his chiefs enforced their orders with the priests and counselors. When someone disobeyed them punishment for breaking major laws  was clubbing or burning to death, for smaller laws punishment would usually be getting beat
