When she smiles, the whole world lights up and shines in happiness. She is willing to help everybody around her, and she’s rarely sad. It is my friend, and you would never guess that she is half-deaf teenager with multiple mental issues. She became so after one night a bomb exploded near her house. Her city was bombed, and she and her mother struggled to escape. A few hours later they were found by Ukrainian soldiers and taken to a hospital in a neighboring region. In addition to visible abrasions, she got a concussion after the explosion, partially lost her hearing and became fearful forever. The war caught her suddenly. This is only one of hundreds of stories, each of which has its terrible consequences.
