What it is

This is the essentials for humans to thrive. Each of the needs must be fulfilled in order for someone to feel complete.

Why you found it so impactful

This really made me think that there will be students who do not have someone in their life that meets their needs. I know that I cannot fulfill all the needs but if I can just fulfill one need I know that I will make a difference and impact in a child's life.

How it will impact your practice

I will be more concious of how I am talking and treating those around me. I will remember that when someone is distant and unresponsive it is probably because a need is not being met.

What it is

This is a state of mind focused on becoming more and growing.

Why you found it so impactful

I think that it is so important to go into anything with the idea that you will grow from the expereince. I think that if we are not growing we are stagnant and eventually we will stay plateaued.

How it will impact your practice

I want my classroom to be a place of growth.

What it is

Basically this is thinking about thinking. Planning, evaluating, and revising how you are thinking and in this case learning.

Why you found it so impactful

I think that it is so important to be aware of your learning. We must have autonomy over out education in life and you can't do that if you are not thinking about how you are learning.

How it will impact your practice

I will use self evalutations for students to see where they are at with topics in my class.
