My full name is Gabrielle Ann Deligencia Laurel. I was named after my sweet aunt, who inspired my first name, and my loving mom, who inspired my second name. Most people call me Gab or Gabie. I was born on February 10, 2008, and I’m currently 17 years old. I'm currently studying at Ateneo De Davao University as a Pre- Science STEM student because I am inspired to be in the medical field someday!

I’m a talkative and outgoing person around people I’m comfortable with, but I can be very quiet and reserved around those I’m not close to. One of the things I enjoy most is giving gifts to my loved ones, including my friends. I always let them know that I don’t expect anything in return—I’m simply happy to give. I consider myself understanding, caring, open-minded, and forgiving, but I’m also a sensitive person. However, I’m not perfect—my mood can affect my attitude at times. I believe that everyone has moments of bad behavior, but that doesn’t define them as having a bad personality.

I believe that makeup is my talent, and it’s something I truly love and enjoy. It brings me so much happiness, and I’m always the go-to makeup artist for my family during events. This year, during CTK 2024, I had the opportunity to be the makeup artist for our cluster’s model, and by God’s grace, we won! This experience is something I will always treasure. It was both tiring and fulfilling, but it allowed me to meet new friends and develop new skills. I’m incredibly thankful to God for blessing me with such a unique talent, and I’m truly grateful for it.

Make-ups - I first got into makeup during the pandemic, starting with just mascara and lip mousse. Over time, my collection grew, and my skills improved. I’ve been cooking since I was very young. Even though we have a helper at home, I always jump at the chance to cook whenever I have free time. I love preparing meals and seeing people enjoy what I’ve made.

I work as her assistant in the kitchen, helping her bake pastries and supporting her whenever she needs it.

Painting & Sketching: As for painting and sketching, I picked it up during the pandemic to pass the time. While I don’t consider it my strongest talent, I have a passion for it and believe I can improve. Unfortunately, my school schedule doesn’t leave much room to explore this hobby at the moment.

Photography: At the beginning of the year 2024, I wasn’t really interested in photography, but I’ve since discovered that I absolutely love it—especially taking photos of my loved ones and friends. This newfound passion started because of my two friends, Princess and Walyne. They introduced me to Loyola, a Photography Club, and through them, I began to appreciate photography more. While I don’t have my own camera yet, I’m grateful to my generous friend who lets me borrow hers whenever I need it.

My Dreams and Goals!

My dreams and goals are important to me. I aspire to become either a registered nurse or a licensed medical doctor, though I’m still unsure which path to choose. I trust that God will guide me in the right direction. I don’t plan on getting married until I’m financially and mentally ready. I dream of building my ideal house with my future architecture friends, preferring a space that’s not too modern but with a large kitchen. I also hope to travel the world with my mom and dad. I want to stay single until I’m truly ready for marriage. I believe that, in time, God will bless me with a loving husband, and when the moment is right, I’ll become a mother—specifically a girl mom. But for now, I want to focus on myself, as motherhood is a big responsibility. I’m grateful to God for the privilege of having dreams and being able to attend school without worrying about my next meal. It’s important to remember to be thankful for what you have.

My mom is incredibly loving, caring, and understanding. She never puts pressure on me regarding my grades and is always proud of me, supporting me in all my extracurricular activities and more. I’m truly grateful for her and wouldn’t be who I am without her. We have a very close relationship, and I freely share the details of my day with her during our car rides. She’s my motivation to keep improving in life. I love her deeply and thank God every day for blessing me with her.

My dad isn’t the affectionate type, but I know he wants the absolute best for me. I’m certain he loves me like his own daughter. He’s the man who has been there for me every step of the way. I got my love for gift-giving from him. He never pressures me into anything and is always proud of my achievements, no matter how big or small. One day, I’ll become a licensed R.N. or M.D., and I’ll take care of him. I’ll always be thankful for him. I hold my Junior High School friends closest to my heart because they were my greatest source of support during those years. Without them, I don’t think I could have navigated the challenges of junior high. Those years were filled with ups and downs—love life issues, friendship breakups, dramas, false rumors, and more. It left me with painful memories and some emotional scars, but with God's guidance and their unwavering presence, I managed to overcome it all. They stood by me, understood me, and supported me until we graduated, and for that, I’m deeply grateful. Despite it being a roller-coaster journey, we leaned on each other through everything. The memories we shared will always have a special place in my heart. Even though we’ve made new friends and become distant due to our busy schedules and attending different schools, I want them to know that they’ll always be a part of me. Princess and I have known each other since junior high, but we weren’t close, just mutual friends. We were never in the same class, and I didn’t expect us to become as close as we did in senior high school, especially since we didn’t have the same class. Out of the three girls from our old school including me who ended up at ADDU SHS, Princess was one of them, and she became my closest friend. She became my "one call away" friend and my source of comfort. When I’m with her, I feel like I can truly be myself without any fear of judgment. Though I’m not very religious, she always reminds me that no matter what, I am loved by God through Jesus Christ. I’m so thankful for her, as she’s like an unbiological older sister to me. Without her, I wouldn’t have survived the first semester. I believe she is an answer to my prayers, and we always enjoy joining praise and worship together in the school’s foyer. I’ll be forever grateful for her.

Camille and Shayndel are two of my closest friends at ADDU. I met Camille through our section, and I got to know Shayndel because of her. I’m so grateful for both of them, especially during one of the toughest moments in my life—when I missed the honor roll because of Pre-Calculus. I cried that day, but they were there for me, comforting and supporting me when I felt like I wasn’t enough. Because of them, I’ve also met new people who’ve become just as close to my heart. These friendships mean so much to me, and I truly hope we continue to grow closer as time goes on. I’m so lucky to have them by my side, and I’ll always cherish them.

Dear Future Me,

I hope this letter finds you well. I’m writing to you from the year 2025. Right now, I’m 17 years old and in 12th grade, filled with hopes, doubts, and questions about who you have become.

At the moment, I’m really into makeup — it's something I enjoy and find comfort in. School has been tough, especially since I consider myself just an average student, and I’m doing my best to graduate. I'm currently struggling with my mental health, but I truly hope things are better now. I hope you've learned to breathe again — more gently, more freely.

I hope you’ve finally moved out and have your own space — maybe still with Mama, maybe on your own, but peaceful either way. I hope you finished school and are living a life that makes you genuinely happy and healthy. I hope you’ve found success — not the kind that others define for you, but the kind that you define for yourself. I pray you're happy and free from the pain that once weighed you down.

I hope you're still friends with your junior and senior high school friends, and that you continue to surround yourself with people who bring you joy. During my infant stage, I was described as a baby who cried a lot and rarely smiled, which reflected my early self-concept and temperament. My mom and lola, who were my main caregivers, patiently took care of me and attended to my needs whenever I cried, shaping my social self. Since I could not yet do things on my own, I showed my needs only through crying, which was part of my competent self. Although I do not recall memories from this stage, I was told these stories, and through their consistent love and care, I gradually developed my inner self by forming a sense of trust and comfort.

Yes, I agree with the result because ISFJ-T personalities are described as loyal,

responsible, and caring, traits that are often seen in people who take their schoolwork and relationships seriously. As a student, being dependable, organized, and thoughtful fits well with the everyday demands of Grade 12, such as managing deadlines, helping classmates, and staying motivated. The “T” in ISFJ-T also shows that you maybe more self-reflective and sometimes anxious, which makes sense if you're someone who wants to do well and make sure everything is okay.
