He was a risk-taker because he decided to take the test even though the other boy was instead going to get (very tempting) Ice Cream. The other boy even told him that the Principal expressed that kids who did not speak English should not take the test. The Janitor was also important in the story because he kept telling Moises to keep going and to ignore the bully.

He was balanced because he, instead of getting super mad at the boy who kept taunting and bullying Moises, he just stayed calm and ignored him. Out of the many things I took away from the video, I think that what spoke to me the most was that Moises kept going and did not give up on taking the test, which is something we can all do. His experiences were really heartfelt, and one thing that could change in my learning is that Moises did not speak English, but he was still able to take the test, but he persevered and took it anyway. I think this because he tried to take the test even though he did not understand anything from it. That means he was a risk taker. He took the risk of trying to take the test even though he did not understand the test because it was in English. I think that Moises is also a thinker because when he was going to get ice cream with the other kid, he thought about that decision. And he thought to himself that even though the test might be hard he still wanted to try his best at it. So he went to class to do the test. 

This affects my perspective on Spanish learning because if I learn Spanish I can help people like Moises understand things. Because it must be really hard having to learn stuff in a language that you do not even know. So I could help by telling people what  people are talking about and help them understand things that are in English. Moises story makes me sad. :(

We don't even want to give them a chance. People need to be more open-minded. Kudos to Moises. He, no matter what, just kept doing his thing. It is so good to have all these IB traits.  Being caring, having empathy, and being knowledgeable, it is all so important.  Also, Principal Rosa should not be a Principal. He probably struggled with these same issues him self. This is what happens when you don't have empathy. I don't know where to start, but some of the important ones are that he is an inquirer. He is an inquirer because he wants to learn how to do math, but since he doesn't know english, he has to use dictionaries and friends that know spanish and english. I think that by watching this video, I have gotten to see spanish in a new way. I think that spanish is really hard and difficult to learn because it is a whole another language. You can't even say please or thank you without learning spanish. But after I saw the video, it told me that there are many immigrants that come from a different country and don't know any other language. Moises is a risktaker and  we should sometimes take risks . Moises motivation was to keep studying because when he kept studying it motivated him to keep going.
 What I would do to help Moises  is help him with his English because if I helped him he would maybe fit in better.
we can recognize students who are struggling to understand our  language if they are having   trouble understanding people who speak our language.
