Some of the people in this tribe went to Mexico where they were granted land.  Later in the 1870’s, the members of the Kickapoo tribe living in mexico were captured and brought to Oklahoma. In 1985, the Kickapoo received a land grant in Texas and they currently live on both sides of the Texas border.

When he was walking he saw a officer beating a Mexican farm worker. Juan saw this and told the officer to stop when he refused Juan shot him. He later held up the Mexican flag in Texas. As the us army fought the Mexicans they retreated into mexico. He kept fighting at the Texas-Mexican border.
