Eğitim uygulamalarında basitten karmaşığa doğru ilerleme, öğrencinin kendisinin üretme ve bilgiye ulaşması,  her öğrencinin aktif bir şekilde kendi fikir ve tasarılarını öğrenme sürecine dahil etmeleri, işbirliği içinde çalışmaları, araştırma ve geliştirme süreçlerini  devam ettirmeleri temel alındı.

Bu faaliyetler artık okul içi ve sınıf ile sınırlı kalmayıp, bu ortamların dışına taşmış ve faydalı olabilecek her türlü okul dışı öğrenme ortamlarından yararlanabileceği düşüncesi gündeme gelmiştir. Bu kapsamda öncelikle okul ve sınıf içi olarak düşünülen öğrenme ortamları, okul dışı ortamları da kapsayacak şekilde genişletilmiştir (Şimşek, 2011). Okul dışı öğrenme ortamı kavramı; okul sınırları dışında yer alan çeşitli yaşam alanlarından sanal ortamlara kadar birçok alanı kapsamaktadır (Eshach, 2007) 
 Eğitimde en etkili stratejilerin; öğrencinin öğrenmede aktif olarak rol aldığı, yaparak yaşayarak öğrendiği, çevresiyle öğrendiği konuları ilişkilendirdiği ve sosyal yaşantısı ile bağlantılar kurduğu bir öğretim anlayışı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Eğitim yaklaşımımızda disiplinler arası öğrenmeyi temel aldık. Gerçekleştirilen etkinliklerde her bir katılımcının etkin olmasını sağladık. Öğrencilerde sürekli gelişimi destekledik. öğrencinin kendisinin üretme ve bilgiye ulaşması,  her öğrencinin aktif bir şekilde kendi fikir ve tasarılarını öğrenme sürecine dahil etmeleri, işbirliği içinde çalışmaları, araştırma ve geliştirme süreçlerini  devam ettirmeleri temel alındı. Öğrenciler eğlenerek öğrendi. Activitățile extrașcolare sunt foarte importante pentru înțelegerea noțiunilor și asimilarea lor mai ușor. Punerea în practică a cunoștințelor contribuie la dezvoltarea elevilor ca oameni. 
Împreună cu elevii am organizat vizite la bibliotecă și la muzee, drumeții, excursii, tabere, activități în aer liber. Elevii au fost foarte încântați și implicați.
