SMART GOALS

Specific: My specific goal for this term is to have a higher grade than C. I also aim to get high scores in my remaining assessments.

Measurable: I can measure this goal by re-using my first term E-PRF, so that I can still specifically measure where my grades are and if it will be failing or not.

Attainable: This goal can and will be attained if I again, manage my time properly and giving my best effort in doing my home works and reviewing for my quizzes and exams thoroughly.

Relevant: I find this goal relevant because I still am in need to pass this term and of course the last term, so that if anything in my Senior High School application goes south, maybe and hopefully my Grade 10 grades can show that I can still be reconsidered for ASHS.

Time-Bound: I know that I can achieve these goals by staying focused and managing my time wisely, I also know that I can achieve these by asking help when needed and attending consultation or study hall sessions when I don't get the lesson.

Self- Evaluation

For the second term, I can't lie, it's really obviously more challenging than the first term. The lessons got more complicated, we had to memorize a lot of new equations, we were introduced to new symbols, and I realized that majority of the lessons that were taught to us this term can finally be used in real life and in our every day life.

To evaluate myself this Term 2, I can say that I have grown more confident rather than my past self in Term 1. But life can't always be easy, this term I encountered and still am encountering lessons that confuse me and make my brain hurt. Even though this happened is happening (especially with the current lesson), I still am trying my best to study and understand the lessons properly, and I am asking for help either from my tutor or Ms. Bucsit if ever things get confusing. Lastly, I observed myself to be more confident whenever called to answer and I am more comfortable with asking questions in class, which is a really good improvement compared to Term 1.

The most challenging task I have encountered.

For me, the most challenging task I have encountered this second term was probably the first Alternative Assessment. We were shocked when we first received this Alternative Assessment because the questions that were presented to us in this AA were very challenging and it was the first time I and maybe we (my group mates) have encountered questions like this ever since we started 10th Grade. We tried our best to answer this AA, but we failed to finish it on time, good thing Ms. Bucsit had us bring the task home, but we couldn't answer it with our tutors nor our peers. I can't clearly remember, but I think that we had a decent grade on the test. This was my most challenging task because, all the other tasks after this were somewhat simple, and some were easy to understand.

Misconceptions/Confusions

Honestly, I have had minimal confusions until our very recent lesson. I find this lesson (Measure of Dispersion, grouped and ungrouped) really challenging because I have to take in mind multiple equations/formulas for each measure of dispersion and these formulas are very long and they contain symbols that are still new to me and I still haven't memorized their meanings. But even though I am having a hard time memorizing these new equations and symbols, I am doing my very best to memorize them for my quiz on Thursday and I am asking for help from my tutor, so that he could give me more insights and tips on how to memorize these and how to answer these problems properly and correctly.

My best works during this second term was probably my Quiz 3, Long Test 2 and Quiz 4. I say this because in these 3 assessments I only had 1 mistake in Q3, 2 mistakes is LT2 and .5 minus in Quiz 4. I am happy that these were my scores in the past three assessments, because before these 3 assessments were even announced I was told that I needed to pull up my grade or else I might end up failing the 2nd Term. After hearing that, I just felt nervous, but I didn't let my emotions get the best of me during that moment, I calmed myself down and planned on what I needed to do to pull my scores and grades back up. That's why I was very happy and thankful when I got my test scores back.

Collaborative Works

During TERM 2, we have only had 1 collaborative work which is the AA. As I said, when we first got the paper for this AA we were all confused with what to do and what to answer the questions that were presented to us. During our AA, we tried our best to analyze and solve the questions properly, but we really couldn't understand and solve the questions especially with the time pressure that was given to us. Good thing Ms. Bucsit let us take home the paper. In the end, we accomplished our AA, and I just can't clearly remember if we got a good or bad score. Well this sums up all I need to say about my very first collaborative work in 10th Grade. To say the least, answering my first collaborative work was hard but fun.
