The first line of defense is our skin, then stomach acids, mucus, tears, vaginal opening. The second line of defense is macrophages ( fever and inflammatory response)
The third line of defense is T Cells and B cells, these destroy pathogens.

What is the Immune System?
The Immune System is the bodies defense against infectious bacteria and diseases.

Why is it important to us?
The Immune System is important to us, because if we did not have an immune system our bodies would end up being filled with diseases.

How do immunizations work?
Immunizations basically put a small amount of a specific disease into the body so that the immune system 'learns' of the disease and knows how to fight the disease in the future.

What happens when it doesn't work as it should?
When immunizations don't work, the patient would end up getting sick/diseased/infected.

How do some medical treatments compromise the immune system?
Your immune system can be strengthened or weakened by different medicines and treatments. While on Chemotherapy, the Chemo is assisting fight the cancer yet it is killing white blood cells.
