The 4 following chemicals are used most commonly<br><br>NaOCl<br>Due to its high pH,&nbsp; sodium hypochlorite increases waters pH<br><br><strong>Advantages</strong> - Easy transport and storage, highly effective when correctly used.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Disadvantages</strong> - Corrosive, precautions should be taken in handling, evaporates/disintegrates upon contact with air, light and high temperatures, Short shelf-life.</div><div><br>Ca(ClO)2<br>Calcium hypochlorite is more stable than sodium hypochlorite<br><br><strong>Advantages</strong> - Easy transport and storage, more stable than sodium hypochlorite, does not add sodium to the water, highly effective when correctly used.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Disadvantages</strong> - low solubility, might cause clogging, the final chlorine concentration in water is dependent on the extent of dissolution achieved.</div><div><br>Cl2<br>This is chlorine in its pure form, which is a very strong oxidizing and disinfecting agent.<br><br><strong>Advantages</strong> - highly effective disinfectant. Form a cone out of a strip of bark. according to <a href="http://www.wikihow.com/Purify-Water">http://www.wikihow.com/Purify-Water</a> this second method will not fully purify water but it will reduce the amount of microbes in it.<br><br>A3. The sun method. This method also relies on the sun and the air but if the place you live has lot's of sunny weather and clean air this method will purify water. In this method you have to put a bowl of water in a place the sun can effect it because eventually the water will evaporate and leave the particles behind.<br><br>A4. Also you can put a bowl and put a cup in the bowl then fill it with dirty water. Then wrap the bowl you that when the water tries to evaporate it won't escape causing the dirty particles to go to the top of the bowl and the clean water to stay on the bottom of the bowl.<br><br>A5. This method is simple just use a water purifier<br><br>A6.
