The "viscera" are the internal organs of the body-especially those located in the large cavity of the trunk (e.g., the heart, liver, and intestines). The word viscera comes from Latin, in which it has essentially the same meaning. Something "visceral" has to do with the viscera. In a more figurative sense, something "visceral" is felt "deep down." Even in the early years of its use, "visceral" often referred to things emotional rather than physiological. For example, in 1640, an English bishop named Edward Reynolds wrote, "Love is of all other the inmost and most visceral affection." This figurative use is the most common use of "visceral," but the word continues to be used in medical contexts as well. 

 

I was amazed by the instantaneous reaction of the baby and feel much better just to see the baby follow the movements of the practionner and doing it without conscious. The mother also was relieve to see the appeasement of her baby's face.

In this case, I immediately saw how Osteopathy can improve and adjust a body's baby. Makes me feel again more convinced about Osteopathy. Here, for me, the essential information to treat in consequently the baby was the way that he borned.  GOOD COMMUNICATION AND PRECISE INFORMATION IS PRIMORDIAL.

Conclusion:
I learned the importance of the way of give birth and how it can impact a baby and even the mother. Should be more aware of what's structures is impacted during which way of birth (cesarian, vagina).

Action Plan:
If the situaion happens again, i will ask directly focus question on the labor of the birth and based my treatment on it. I would stay and act calm especially with a baby who don't feel confortable and crying.
