The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a conflict over borders that has been happening for over 70 years. It came after WW2, when there was Hundreds of thousands of Jews who were displaced after the Holocaust. There was a Movement to give the Jewish people a homeland so that they couldn't be persecuted as they have for thousands of years. The decision was made to go to the recently decolonized area of Palestine. The problem was that there were already hundreds of thousands of Palestinians living there. The Israelis would end up with the upper hand because they had a lot of support from the western powers.

The U.S gave more than 317 billion dollars, over Israel's life time. This is by far the most money the U.S has given to a nation since the Second World War.

Until recent years a majority of the U.S has supported U.S interventionism. But after hearing about what was actually happening with the war on terror and people wanting a bigger focus on the Homefront, Americans want less to do with the rest of the world.

The right historically and still continues to have a majority that support Israel.

the left has historically supported Israel. But in recent times with people exposing what has truly been going on in Israel has made many to oppose the support for Israel.

Biden's plan for Israeli aid has Bipartisan support in the Senate

With bipartisan support, the senate is pushing a financial and military package that is to be sent to Israel. This package includes $14.3 billion dollar that includes military weaponry.

Generational effect

We can see that many of the older generations have more sympathies for the Israelis because they have saw the effects of the holocaust. While the younger generation see the atrocities that the Israeli's government continues to commit.
