I transferred to National University where I finished my BA in Early Childhood Education and my MA in Education.  I have been working for the college for 10 years, starting as a student worker, tutor, project advisor, and instructor! I have worked in the field with children from ages 2 to teenagers. I teach CD 170, CD 170L, CD 181, and CD 184.  I am the Advisor for the Child Development club at the Main Campus and hopefully you could join the club this semester!. 

Fun facts about me: I love to travel, I love bananas, I am a fan of Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Stranger Things, and I love to binge watch Netflix.

I am a team leader at chik-fil-a and enjoy working there at the moment. I like to read novels and also write stuff. I live in Playas de Tijuana and have to cross the border almost everyday.. I don't have a car so I take two taxis, one bus and the trolley (I don't want to Uber, tho).

My oldest daughter is 13, my middle one is 10 and my youngest is 8. I planned my children this way because when I was growing up, I didn't have any siblings. I actually didn't have any cousins either because my mom was the oldest one among her siblings. So needless to say, I grew up with just adults. I have an accounting degree that I earned right out of high school. However, I never worked in accounting. When I got married, I got pregnant right away and when my daughter was born, I opened up my home daycare. I have been doing daycare for over 12 years. I am taking this class because I hope to one day, not too far from today, open up my own center. I need to get my director's permit, and that is why I am here. Let's see fun facts about me, I love shoes and bags, but who doesn't right? I collect them! I also collect Unicorns! I love Unicorns! I love online shopping, but hate going to malls. My husband is a shopaholic and he loves malls! So I just send him away, unless we are buying for the kids. Then I gotta go too. My name is Angela Contreras. I am 27 years old, Married for almost 7 years and have 3 children. My oldest is turning 5 next month, her name is Kalanie. My middle is 3, her name is Leia, and my youngest is 14 months, his name is Jonah. I have been working on my associates degree for some time. I my working towards my A.A in Child Development in order to be a Preschool Teacher. I am also currently training to be a Birth and Postpartum Doula. Birth is one of my greatest passions, along with child development of course. I haven't started working yet because I have chosen to stay at home with my kids until they are all in school. This is something I hold very important to me. My husband is a veteran, so we have lived in two other states. I loved being able to travel and live in different places, but nothing beats San Diego. I had my first daughter in Upstate New York. My middle daughter was born on the island of Oahu,Hawaii. I miss both states dearly. I hope to go back and visit one day. Show my girls where they were born. I love reading, knitting, traveling, and learning and experiencing new adventures. I love trying new things! Some of my favorite things, all things HARRY POTTER, Disneyland, cooking, cake decorating, nature, museums, comic books, holistic health, music. Those are just a few. My own philosophy is , never loose your sense of wonder. There is too much adulthood, we need more wonder.

      Hello everyone, my name is Lidia Caro, I am married and I have three children. My oldest son is 27 years old, my second son is 24 years old and my daughter is 20 years old. I am very excited because this will be my last semester to get my Child Development A.A. Degree and also because, this class would gives me the opportunity to go to a kinder garden/day care do my observations and documentation in different areas. I know that this course will be a valuable experience for my professional development. I am currently full time student  and I will start doing my practices. It would be a lot of work but I have the support of my family, friends and I know that I will achieve it. In my free time I like to go for a walk or take care of my garden, I like nature and I enjoy plants, flowers and watching the sea.
