A Jamaican maker of 1960s – 1970s casual resort wear, Beachcomber was one of the 20 members of the Jamaican Fashion Guild, which was founded in 1966. Beachcomber was a member of the Jamaican Fashion Guild until at least 1972.
The Guild pieces retailed in Jamaica and the USA and were advertised as available in “Better stores coast to coast”. 

This is floor length slit dress with a colorful flower pattern and a zipper on the back. The front top of the dress has a 20cm décolleté closed off by two white frog buttons. There are two additional frog buttons being used as closure, at the beginning of each legs slit.

The dress has a white pattern base, neck collar, and slits hems.

The pattern includes flowers and leafs in green, yellow, orange, blue and pink. One of the flowers is a pink hibiscus, the hibiscus being the national flower of Jamaica.
