Hi everybody! In my first post, I am writing about travelling in Malaysia, my Motherland. Malaysia is known for its multicultural society. This multicultural society is typified by three major ethnic groups, namely Malays, Chinese and Indians.

      There are many tourist points in Malaysia such as The Petronas Twin Towers which is the 7th tallest building in the world today. The twin tower is at a staggering height of 1483 feet and the tallest twin tower in the world. This building was built by César Pelli.

      Next is the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, a World UNESCO Site which is located in the state Melaka. The house is a combination of three terrace lots that were acquired by the Chan family in 1861. Four generations lived in the house before it was opened as a museum in March 1985. The name of the museum is derived from the term Baba, an honorific manner of addressing a Straits-born gentleman and Nyonya which addresses a Straits-born lady.

      When you travel to Malaysia, you shouldn't forget to ride on The Langkawi Cable Car. The Langkawi Cable car is also known as the Sky Cab. It is claimed to be the steepest cable car ride in the world and that takes the visitors at the height of 708 meters up in the sky, above sea level. On a visit there, tourists are advised to carry a jacket as the elevation in height invites chilled winds. The bird-eye view from the top of this peak makes getting onto this ride absolutely breathtaking and memorable.

That is why Malaysia is known as heaven of food. In each states, you will definitely find different kinds of foods.

      For an example, in Terengganu you will come across Nasi Kerabu which you should try. It has blue-coloured rice, served with dried fish or fried chicken, boiled egg, cracker, pickle and salads. If you are finding some scrumptious snack for your tea-time, you should try the famous Keropok lekor. Keropok basically means fried cracker in Malay language. Keropok lekor is made using fish and this keropok is eaten with either with sweet chiili sauce or on its own.

      While in Melaka, you can enjoy mouthwatering cuisines because most of it are cooked following the Baba & Nyonya traditional recipe. These cuisine are not only spicy but sweet and sour too. Laksa Nyonya is one of the Baba & Nyonya cuisine. Laksa Nyonya is rice noodles served with hot curry made with fresh coconut milk. The Nyonya cendol is made with coconut milk, flavoured pandan leaf, jelly noodles, red beans and shaved ice with added sweetness from gula Melaka (palm sugar).

      Whenever you get chance to visit these states don't forget to try these foods. Make sure to enjoy them !
