Romeo ends up kissing Juliet. Juliet then kisses him back. "Romeo- Other dear, saint, let lips do what hands do! They pray grant though, lest faith turn to despair." 1.5 101-102 In this piece of evidence, Romeo is comparing lips kissing to hands coming together as praying, so she is guilted into kissing him. "Juliet- My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late. Prodigious birth of love it is to me that I must have a loathed enemy." 1.5 135-139 This text shows that Juliet falls in love with Romeo but it is bad because she can't love him since their families are enemies. Being that their families are enemies, she then secretly loves him.

Being filled with grief, she then decides to take her own life. By waking up and finding the love of her life dead, she decided it was too much to bear and decides to end her life. For the Capulet's, to walk into the tombs and find Romeo, Paris, and Juliet dead, reminds them of their age and the time left. This also lead them to talk to the Montague's and find peace within the dislike for each other.

Friar Laurence tried to talk her into leaving the tombs with him, but he insisted on staying. It was at that moment that she tried to kiss him hoping the poison on his lips would kill her, but it didn't, so she took his sword and stabbed it into her chest.

Juliet kills herself after finding out that Romeo had done the same right next to her. Juliet- "Yea, Noise? Then I'll be brief. O happy dagger. This is thy sheath. There rust, and let me die." 5.3 169-170 Juliet awakes to find Romeo dead, and Friar Laurence says he hears noise and that they must leave, but Juliet says that she'll be quick with the dagger and that she will stay. When he leaves Juliet takes the dagger and kills herself. First Watchman- "Sovereign, have lies the county Paris slain, And Romeo dead, and Juliet, dead before, warm, and new killed. 5.3 198-200 The First Watchman tells Juliet's parents that Paris and Romeo are dead as well as Juliet, who is newly dead and still warm. Lady Capulet says this reminds her of her old age and that her time is near.

Character emotions have a large effect on the actions they take because as a result of Juliet finding Romeo dead, she ended up taking her own life. Also, when Tybalt got mad that Romeo came to the party, he started a fight. Tybalt ended up dying in cause of losing the fight. Emotions of the character change from the beginning of the text to the end of the text because Juliet went from excited to upset, then suicidal. In the beginning, Juliet was happy because she has fallen in love with Romeo. Then, Juliet became upset because her family is forbidding her to be with Romeo. Finally, she was suicidal because when she awoke from the potion she found Romeo dead beside her, and ended up taking her own life. The greatest consequence from the actions of Juliet is taking her own life because of the death of her husband, Romeo. The lesson that audiences can learn from Juliet is to plan ahead and think of your consequences in the future because as time went on all these obstacles were thrown at Juliet to overcome. Normally, these obstacles would be taken as signal that it wouldn't work out, but Juliet went ahead and tried everything to be with Romeo.
