They live in a little  Sardinian village (that they had not ever heard, they just know the biggest Italian cities)  where there are just some basic and fundamental services. For this reason they discover the nearest and bigger cities for the services that they do not have in their place and that they can find there. But i think inviting them to think of a situation where they are invited and asked by their host about the quality of food. they can practice using polite expressions (to say they liked or disliked the food, or they cannot eat it bc it is different from what they are allowed to eat).
