The passage that said a lot was the chapter power to the people. This chapter was about the revolution between Blacks and Whites about civil rights. One person in the text was a news person named Angela Davis on tv was talking about the revolution of people in the streets raising their fists in protest. The Black Panther clan in California is we're most of the protests come from. This was very heavy when Jackie and Maria wanted to join the clan in protest. Showing a true message of protest in past America.

The Passage out of the Book Brown Girl Dreaming that really touched and inspired me was page was page, 295 titled what if...? As I read on this really inspired me because Jacqueline was walking us through the thought we always ask ourselves what if? She also asks herself about what if all the amazing things in my life didn't exist, this is a very scary thought to think about. Another
reason that this is touching is because it teaches us to count or blessings that we have . My final reason that this was very touching is this also impacted my perspective on friends as well as Jacqueline walked through what her life would be like without her friends. This book is an amazing book that has highly touched and inspired me in many ways.

The passage that really touched me was called the promise land. It touched me because it tells me how Jackie's uncle got out of jail. The Witnesses are known as or called the chosen ones. Jackie and her family gather around the Witnesses and listen to the stories tha they tell of a man named Muhammad. They pull out a rug and sit on it and pray to see their Mecca. They tell Jackie to look with her heart and she'll know what she is waiting for.

A passage that stood out to me was how to listen #9 on page 299. I can relate to this because sometimes I just want to float away and never come back. Or when someone bad is going on I want to have a happy place for keeping my sanity. This passage could have to do with how much bad stuff is going on in Jaquelinen life. Overall this passage is mainly for Jaquelinen to break away from the madness and write her own story. This book has been exceptional.

A passage I liked was page 303 it says."Already, there are so many things I don't understand ,why someone would have to die or even fight for what they believe in".This shows that Jaqueline is trying to understand why people have to go away some time.Shes not even learning this from her mother.I guess Jaqueline is maturing faster and faster.
