During the Depression cities across the country lost their jobs and were evicted from their homes and ended up in the streets.Compared to know people seem to end up homeless by not having a house, substance abuse, prison release, and unemployement.Another reason is because they leave the place they were at due to having many other problems.

I think people need to actually put in the effort to have a place that they can stay at for a long time so they are not rolling around all the time.Besides also working and having a stable job.(Joselyn S)

Homelessness affects peoples lives because they live in terrible life conditions. During the Great Depression several people lost their homes and started to live where they could. Even if those conditions were bad or even dangerous. Post-Pandemic and because the COVID 19 crisis many individuals were forced to leave their houses or move from their origin places because the interest rates were really high and they could not afford the price of their house.
In both cases the most common solution is to be homeless. This may affect people's health because they live in dirty places. This may also affect their children because it is really hard to stop being homeless if they don ´ t receive external help.

Help people who live in these conditions. It does not matter if it is in an economical way or just with stuff like food and water. It may also be helpful if the government opens more shelters where homeless people could stay for some time until they find a job. (Miguel)
