Since incorporating the SRA corrective reading program(decoding and fluency) we have noticed a definite improvement in our at risk and struggling readers. We would like to develop a plan that sees extensive support in these above areas. We strongly believe that if we can support them early then they will be more successful in the future. There has also been a significant increase in the need for early intervention in the mathematics strands of numeracy and patterning. 
We have discussed implementing the SRA phonemic awareness program that is supported by the Speech and Lang pathologists as well as "Language for Learning" to bridge the gap between kinder years and early primary.
