One connection that I have with the book is that during the book, Brandon spilled ketchup in his dad’s car. However, I can connect to this because not too long ago, I spilled Vitamin water in my dad’s car and made a big mess that I had to clean up before him seeing. 
2. Another connection that I have with the book is that during the book, Brandon lied about being where he was. I can relate to this because in Jamaica, I lied about being in the lobby and instead, I went to this room where there was a dance floor and people higher than my age were allowed to go in.
