This report done by CNN looks closer at a Long Island high school senior who was accepted into all twelve colleges he applied to, including every single ivy. In addition to having an outstanding GPA, this student participated on the track team, an acappella group, as well as volunteering at a local hospital. Despite the great description his GPA and extracurriculars provide the admissions offices with, this student additionally had to send in his SAT score. This video provides great examples and statistics as to why his SAT score was simply unnecessary. -M
