She recsued many slaves through the Underground Railway. Also Jefferson Davis was the president of the Confederacy (Who fought for slavery to continue) during the Civil War.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Henry Brown was a famous slave that escaped slavery by delivering himself to a free state. Henry had enough of slavery when they got separated from his wife that was currently pregnant. Henry got help from a close friend to help him find a good box to fit in to deliver himself. It was going good until he nearly died when someone put the box upside down and he couldn't move. Luckily someone flipped it. Henry made it home to a guy that worked for Anti-Slavery Society. </strong></div>]]></description>
