Sand is mixed with soda ash and limestone in a kiln. The mixture is heated to a very high temperature. This extreme heat causes the ingredients to melt and turn into liquid glass. Liquid glass is molded and cooled in different ways. These processes determine the shape and final type of glass produced. During this process, the furnaces used in glass production specifically consume energy, mainly in the form of fossil fuels, which is a natural resource. Another very important environmental problem is that glass manufacturing needs protection from primary materials such as sand, limestone and caustic soda. The exploitation of these natural resources can lead to the destruction of ecosystems. The fusion of these products is also done in an extremely hot furnace that releases a lot of CO2 and other gases that contribute to global warming and other problems in the atmosphere.

Steel production begins with the extraction of iron ore, they are found in mines around the world. This process causes deforestation, soil degradation, and water pollution. Transporting the ore can also emit greenhouse gases. The production of pig iron in blast furnaces releases CO2, NOx and SO2, contributing to air pollution. The high demand for energy, especially with the use of fossil fuels, also emits greenhouse gases. In addition, the process generates waste solids and liquids that, if disposed of incorrectly, can contaminate the environment.Another raw material for producing steel is coal. Coal is formed by the decomposition of organic matter over millions of years. Its production involves mining, which has significant environmental impacts such as greenhouse gas emissions, air and water pollution, habitat destruction, and impacts on human health

Aluminum is mainly extracted from bauxite, composed of aluminum oxides. Its production has significant environmental impacts at several stages. Bauxite mining results in deforestation and contamination of water resources. Bauxite processing generates toxic waste due to the use of chemicals. Aluminum production consumes large amounts of energy, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions from non-renewable sources. Both alumina and aluminum production generate solid and liquid waste that can contaminate soil, water and untreated air, affecting water quality, the health of local communities and biodiversity

The production of copper, essential for the construction of air conditioning, impacts the environment through intensive mining, high energy consumption, polluting emissions, disposal of toxic waste and loss of biodiversity. The extraction of copper ores causes damage to soil, water and air contamination, and contributes to atmospheric pollution. Energy consumption in production, predominantly from non-renewable sources, increases greenhouse gas emissions. Inadequate waste disposal generates very high environmental contamination.

In the case of petroleum-based plastics, the process begins with removing the crude oil. Petroleum is organic and these components are then subjected to chemical processes, such as polymerization, which involve the linking of simple molecules to form larger molecules, called polymers. During plastic production, additives can be added to provide specific properties, such as heat resistance, UV stability, flexibility, among others. After molding, the plastic is cooled to solidify and maintain the desired shape. Oil extraction brings major problems to the environment, accidental oil spills during drilling, transportation or processing of oil can cause serious damage to ecosystems. Oil extraction and processing operations can release substances into the air, such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur and volatile organic compounds. Likewise, chemical waste and contaminated water can be disposed of in water bodies. In areas, oil removal can lead to the clearing of forests to make room for drilling facilities.

The distribution of air conditioning systems through different forms of transport presents a number of significant environmental problems. Land transport generates CO2 emissions and other air pollutants, while maritime transport contributes to air and ocean pollution. Air transport, although fast, is highly polluting due to high fuel consumption. Rail transport is generally more sustainable, but can still generate emissions due to the use of diesel locomotives. In addition to emissions, distribution can also lead to the fragmentation of natural habitats and the consumption of natural resources.

Air conditioning are sell by purchases the chosen air conditioner in a physical store, online or through an authorized brand dealer. Planned osobsolescence occurs when products are designed to stop working quickly, that is, they are made with a short shelf life. This procees occurrs, when the mains air conditioning indrusties made them to work for less time and the parts stop working faster, causing us to have to buy more air conditioners. One example is LG known as a home appliance company that is being criticized a lot because its products are lasting much less time than its old products.
