Life is never static. It keeps on changing. So although pastor Vincent's decision to relinquish his position as the main pastor in GT came as a surprise it is however inevitable and to be expected. Like many in his congregation, I have benefitted much from his sermons over the years which I have always found to be very well researched, prepared, and presented. His sermons will be greatly missed. Once I had the privilege to be in the same golf flight and share the same buggy with pastor Vincent. On that occasion, I told him that if he had been the CEO of any company he would be very successful given that he was so dedicated to his work. In a way pastor Vincent was responsible for my stay in GTPJ for the past 20 over years. For some reason, I wanted to leave GTPJ just after joining the church for a few weeks. Then on one Sunday while I was still mulling over the idea of leaving, pastor Vincent announced at the beginning of his sermon that he had an anointing, that someone was contemplating leaving the church and he would like to pray for him or her. I raised up my hand and against his instruction of "with every head bowed and every eye closed" I saw there was another person who also put up his hand. The rest as they say was history. Pastor Vincent has not indicated what he is going to do next. But being very much a man of God I am sure he will serve the good Lord in some other ways. Whatever it is I wish and pray that the Lord will guide his next steps.

I came to GT in 1996. I also served here together with Ps.Billy many years before we were asked to help out at GT Rawang. We were the first team who went to India mission trip with Ps.Michael Tang and Ps.Raymond.
I got married here at GTPJ
Jalan Gasing in 1999 and was solemnised by you and Ps.Billy.
Those are unforgettable memories in our lives where you have been always the person we look for whenever we need advise and help.
Not forgetting your help to my church in Langkawi when I was studying there, I reached out for a donation for church van and also for one of the church member's son skull operation. With your help, GTPJ has extended the help immediately. All these shows how fortunate I am to be in GT family.

Thank you Pastor Vincent for the many years of service to God & his people. You are indeed the kind of pastor envisioned n 1 Peter 5:1- 4. We will miss you deeply as you step down as our main pastor. But glad that you are hanging around. As you move on to the next phase of your life in Christ, may you continue to find inspiration via the words of Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7- 8, " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Really appreciate all that you have done like visiting our Section 17 PJ CG on several occasions in the past years, praying for my family, having times of prayer in small groups during Prayer Encounter at Hall 2, and your presence at the marriage of Amos and Sarah on 11th January 2020.

All of our CG members really enjoyed your presence with us at our CG lunch gathering as well as a farewell for you held on 12th June 2022 at Luck Kee Seafood Paramount PJ. It was indeed a very wonderful time of fellowship with great food.

We came to know you Pastor in the year 1996 through the Late Pastor Robert Mahalingam.

We were studying in MTBI at that time and were pioneering a church in Puchong. We were seeking covering and financial support from GT. Through Pastor Donald Mc’Murray we got all the financial assistances and Glad Tidings Puchong Church was established.

Under the guidance and the Leadership of GT we were running the church so well. All the trainings, seminars, courses, spiritual empowerments, special meetings, management and leadership meetings in GT groomed and sharpened us to be so effective in the ministry.

In 2005 we started on our own Rezin Home for underprivileged children but we were facing much difficulty and approached you to bring the work under GT. You approved our appeal. In 2007 with 20 children and 3 staffs the work was renamed as Juara Puchong GT.

Be it the Church or the Orphanage, when we were “drowning” you rescued us and the ministry. Overall we see you as a father and a mentor. One who guided us when we were helpless.

Surely we are going to miss you Pastor. We love you. We wish you the best for all your future undertakings. He who called you is Faithful, and will do it for you. Alleluia!

I begin by thanking God for sending Ps Vincent to shepherd GT for 30 eventful and glorious years. GT owes an immense debt of gratitude to our dear Rev Dr. Vincent Leoh for his unwavering service and dedication to our church. Most older members remember how our God-directed pastor was the dominant driving force behind our amazing acquisition of the present church property, and with 2 renovations - culminating in our present beautiful building...God's house. 30 years is almost half a lifetime and we praise God and admire his faithfulness to God's calling on him, together with his consistent servant's heart and leadership for GT. Thank you for leading and showing us what it means to be ‘family’ in a multi-generation church such as at GTPJ. The exemplification you displayed through the years showed the familial love for all and what doing life is about, enabled and empowered by God Himself.

No words can express how grateful we are for your tireless servant leadership, but the small, small things do matter and do leave a big impact. For one, all of us definitely are encouraged when we see pastors who are sporting and could jive and gel well with people across levels without seeing titles/positions, and you are one!

Personally, I can appreciate your leadership in steering GTPJ’s vision to where it is now. Akin to a shepherd’s hook, it takes great boldness and courage to ‘point’ (in the right direction), to ‘pull’ (the strays back), and to ‘poke’ (in correcting the wrongs).

Thank you for the opportunity and privilege to be a part of the big GTPJ family, and mostly, for allowing me to answer God’s calls in the various ministry involvement that I have been and still am a part of. Not forgetting, a major church project entrusted to my team and me in coordinating our last GTPJ ‘Love Out Loud’ Family Retreat 2018 had our super big and extended multi-generation GTPJ family in stitches and refreshed in loving one another!

Pastor Vincent’s support and impact on the missions work in Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya speaks volumes for his passion for missions. Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya might not have responded or fulfilled her call to be a missional church if not because of Pastor Vincent. I salute you.Personally, I remembered when Pastor Vincent first conducted MEP in late 1990s, he talked about a book,’ Through Gates Of Splendour’ and how the missionaries impacted him on missions. I was impressed and read the book myself. You have been pastor over our church from the time I was in the University. I became a Cell Leader in 1995 for the college students. I still remember being horrified when you came to visit the connect group (without warning), yet you laughed and joked, putting me and the rest at ease. You gave us a glimpse of the man behind the pulpit.

Over the years, serving as a lay leader and subsequently as a full time pastor, I have learnt so much from you in terms of leadership, missions and teaching the word. Thank you for your guidance in leading the Missions Committee going forward.

Praise God that I have come to know this man of God, Rev. Dr. Vincent Leoh some 20 years ago. I didn’t know at that time that God is going to use Him to direct my ministry life. In fact; one who is going to reveal the plan of God or the call of God.

In 1997 my husband, Pastor Billy was appointed to Pastor GTPJ Tamil Church. I used to come to his office to help out three times a week. Knowing my background that I was involved many years in orphanage ministry, one fine day Pastor Vincent met me in his office. He asked me whether children ministry is my passion. I answered him “No Pastor, I needed money and the home was in need of staffs. So that’s how I got involved in the past in children ministries”.

Pastor Vincent appreciated me for being so frank. I left his office but spirit of God since then led me through some divine experiences. I would say it was divine intervention of God concerning my future ministry which is to pioneer a children’s home.

With all the divine experiences I went back to Pastor Vincent and told him,” Pastor you asked me whether children ministry is my passion. I want to tell you that hereafter children ministry will become my passion. “

He became excited and I shared how God was dealing me towards this Call. Pastor said that he is happy that I am so sensitive to the voice of God. He asked me to go ahead to plan and prepare.

January 1998 Pusat Jagaan Rumah Juara Glad Tidings was established. I served for 15 years. PVL and LCS Committee gave me full support. I never had any issues with PVL or any of the leadership of Glad Tidings.

In 2015 I had the call of God once again, this time to leave the children ministry and to go where God wants me to go. Once again I met Pastor Vincent and he guided me so well until I am now a Licensed Minister with AG and holding a Degree in Bachelor of Theology.

Even now God has used PVL to reveal my next level of ministry. When I met him in January 2022 he planted a seed in me of church / church pioneering. The last 6 months it has developed as a vision and passion and soon I will be in this particular ministry.

I thank God for this man of God who carries the heart of God within him. I have learned a lot in leadership and management from GT Church overall under his leadership. Definitely I am going to miss him. Thank you Pastor. We Billy’s Family love you Pastor.

In June 1995 was my first meeting with you at Glad Tidings Church office at Jalan Gasing. You approached me and encouraged me to take over the GT Tamil Church which was pioneered by Rev. Godwin Thiagaraja, who was leaving the Tamil church to continue his teaching ministry at MTBI.

At this meeting you also enquired about my wife ministerial skill and experience and found out that she has passion for poor and underprivileged children. You had a vision to establish social works.

Today Rumah Juara,Tamil congregation in GTPJ and many other Tamil outreaches exist because of one man who passively obeyed God’s call to reach the unreached.

Then the 2^nd chapter of my life emerged after I fall sick with heart attack in 2003. My world collapsed and I was devastated and was feeling defeated on my sickbed in UH PJ. You visited me and asked a very important question, “Billy what is the Lord saying to you, where He is leading you to?” I immediately forgot my heart attack and responded to your questions, saying “Pastor send me to India for further studies and I will come back to serve the Lord again and plant more churches.

Just like that you prayed for me and sent me to Madurai- India for further studies, 3 weeks after my heart surgery. Graduated in 2005, you guided me to plant GT Rawang and continue in the task of raising more workers.

In 2010 I was asked to come back to GTPJ as Pastor Daniel Samikanu went to be with the Lord.

Therefore you will always be in our hearts as Mentor and Pastor and Visionary Leader, without whom all this works of ministry will never be possible.

From the time I started work for a few years till now, some years to retirement. Indeed time flies.

Thank you for your love, grace, care, and support to me and my Dad, Michael Chew, and for allowing him to work in GT, after retirement till he’s 82 years old, probably the oldest staff in a church, which has helped kept him active and strong, during those years. Truly grateful for the many church staff and friends that have been his friend and companion.

Thank you so much for all your sharing. They have been insightful, nurturing, helpful, and always grounded in God’s word. Helping us grow and draw us closer to God.

Your preaching and teaching are always well researched and prepared, and help us connect to God, His Word, and our everyday lives.

Thank you for your steadfast vision, seeds planted, and labour, Captain, navigating us through calm and stormy seas, anchored on God, various deeds and ministries have given birth and come to pass, and grow, to where it is now, and we now enjoy its fruits.

As you embark on a new chapter, may the Lord continue to use you powerfully as the salt and light of the world.

Dear Pastor Vincent,

Wow, 30 long years had gone by in a twinkle of an eye. You have served GT faithfully for the last 30 years despite various challenges along the way. We really appreciate what you have done for GT.

On a more personal note, you have ministered to two generations of our family for which we are forever grateful. As you performed your last baby dedication ceremony this morning as GT Main Pastor, it brought back memories of the time about 23 years ago when you performed the same ceremony on Daniel. Like you had said this morning, you are a spiritual parent to all these children. We would like to thank you for all your advice, for your word, and your fellowship with our family. You are truly a pastor to everyone; from the little children to the senior adults.

I still remember the 1st day I step into GTPJ at the Old Jalan Gasing Church, on that day you were preaching with fervency for the Lord and his people. Since, there had been many occasions, God released rhema words through your preaching on the pulpit, and brought my walk with our Heavenly Father many steps closer. Thank you Ps Vincent for your love for God and his people. In fact, I also remembered your call for the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" in the Old Jalan Gasing Church, and God have moved my heart and spirit to walked to the altar that morning to receive the HS. GTPJ Missionary to Thailand

It has been more than 20 years since I did this ministry, i.e. teaching English to Bible School Students in Thailand. On one of the missions trips to Thailand, the Bible School principal invited me to give it a shot - to come and teach English to their students.

Pr Vincent, when you heard about this, you encouraged me. You then offered to give me some "coaching" lessons on "Being a Missionary". After a few weeks of coaching, you felt that I was ready to go.

I was based in the Bible School for about 2 years. Once during the time, you contacted me out of the blue. You said you were visiting Thailand. I subsequently informed the Principal of the Bible School of your visit. I was so happy to see you, and I even showed you around the campus, and you also visited my rooms. Then the principal invited you and his staff for lunch at a nearby restaurant. You returned the next day to Malaysia, but I can still remember your encouragement and your personal visit as well.

We seldom heard pastor Vincent's life story, but there's one you told us during your 60th birthday celebration with the staffs. You said God has been teaching you about simplicity. What did you do? You sold your favourite sports car to take a moderate car, sold your landed house & planned to stay at a 400 sq ft house. We were amazed and touched by you, a beautiful soul that's still keen to live for Jesus even at this age. You have been a role model to us, the younger minister. As far as I remember, you have been my main pastor for 30yrs and my boss for 20yrs. Thank you for your guidance and also the opportunities to serve along. Appreciate your wisdom in handling many matters and also openness to explore new things. Also thankful that you have been thel father of this house.

I have especially been inspired by your depth of knowledge of the Word of God which has also inspired me to also try do my best in handling and preaching His word.
