<title>that inequity in the laws for homelessness reminds me of the inequities for sped kids. I know Jenna &amp; I have talked a lot about how the IDEA will have very basic &quot;recommendations&quot; that don&#39;t really get students what they need, it seems like this is similar. </title>

<title>Yes....IDEA has a recommendation, I have been looking into it because I currently have a class with 72% of the students on IEP&#39;s with a math disability. All laws and policies should have a specific number. The special education population and the homeless population have similar policies and procedures that schools tend to over look. </title>

<title>My daughter was a January baby and I wished she could have gone to school at 4.9 years old. She spent K-3 very ahead of her peers, but luckily her school accommodated with enrichment and allowed her to go to the grade above for ELA. But now, as a fourth grader, she is still slightly above, but the work is getting more difficult the playing field seems to be leveled and now I see why perhaps starting her at 4.9 would not have been a good idea. </title>

<title>I am struggling with that &quot;best decision for kids&quot; with my choice of reading intervention program our school is currently using - I am really trying to help the staff delivering the intervention understand that just because we, as adults, don&#39;t love the design of the lesson - it doesn&#39;t mean it&#39;s not working for the students --- adults think it&#39;s boring or robotic -- I encourage them to stick it out and let the data show if it is working or not -- it&#39;s tough, but we need to let the data prove us wrong, not just want we think is boring </title>

<title>very true Victoria, I hear teachers complain about not liking certain curriculums for math but if it&#39;s working.. we need to remember what is best for the students is what is best for us</title>
