If you feel that you are in need of food parcels, then, in the first instance, please contact Mrs Ainscough or Miss Wood in

confidence and they will help support you in accessing healthy meals to meet the needs of your family.

This is monitored by staff in school and at the end of each half term, pupils who have consistently read will be rewarded for their tremendous effort.

If any parents require support getting logged into 'Boom Reader' can access this each Wednesday morning at the start of the school day.

We are aware that two large vehicles keep parking on the street and we are working to get this stopped. Please do not make it more difficult by parking cars on the street. We need to be mindful of the residents that live at the top of Leigh Street.

I would like to remind families that if they are choosing to take a holiday during term time that they ensure that they notify school that they are absent with the genuine reason for absence. It is important that we know this for safeguarding matters.

Collective Worship – Awe and Wonder 🌍✨

This week in worship, we explored the theme of Awe and Wonder and the Biblical value: Joy. We looked at the Seven Wonders of the World and thought about what makes us feel amazed.

• What does it feel like when you are full of wonder?

• Does everyone feel amazed by the same things? Why?

• Why is it important to stop and be amazed?

The Bible reminds us that when we see a sunset, a storm or a field full of crops, we are seeing God’s awesome power and care. He calls us to marvel at His creation.

Ask your child:

• When you look in the mirror, what makes you special and wonderful?

• Have you ever seen something that made you feel small and the world feel huge?

• If the universe is so big, why do you think we are still able to feel wonder?

Another week has whizzed past here at St Peter’s and what a special one it has been! A special mention must go to our newest members of the St Peter’s family - our Reception children - have settled into school life. 🌟

It has been such a joy to see their confidence growing day by day and we have loved getting to know them a little better this week. Their smiles, curiosity and enthusiasm have already brought so much energy to our school community and I hope they have enjoyed their second week as much as we have enjoyed welcoming them. 💛
