There are many simple ways that I can create calmness and a positive and sage environment.

The posters that I would put up who show children from different ethnic backgrounds. I have a few books for a doll house and there are people that have diverse backgrounds and different abilities.

Children need to be exposed to all ablities so they understand they everyone learns in different ways. This helps but empathy with in everyone.

Labeling of the classroom.

Having a classroom that is neat and organized is helpful for your students. Classrooms should be labeled to help the students know where all of the materials they used belongs.

When there are students in your class who might speak another language, it is important to have these labels in different languages, especially in their native language of some of your students.

Support my students in school and out of school

Many children these days don't have many adults that provide positive words and support.

In the past I have taken children to an event after school, because they didn't have anyone to tell them. It was an art scow in the community, and she would have missed seeing her art displayed in an art studio.

I have also provided clothing, school supplies and personal items for students in the past.

Being able to make a student smile, I will do everything in my power to help make their life better.

Provide form for assistance for families.

making sure my students have what they need to be their best in my class, I will try to provide. The Kwanias Club provides food families that attend or school who may need extra food. This is a small bag of non-perishable items that the child will receive every Friday to bring home.

This for is provided for every one of my students whether they might need it or not.

Social emotional learning and its importance in learning

Having tools like social emotion learning skills helps create an atmosphere so that needs are being met and all students are successful.

When a child's needs are met, they are willing to learn. When students in my class are having difficulties, they have the ability to go to the calm down comer. This is a space for student who is feeling not like themselves and might need a break.

There are different fidget toys and other items to help children calm down and return back to the learning environment.

Providing Equity and not equailty

Equity is vital to making everyone achievable on the same laying field. If students need visual support to help them learn, I can provide that.

Children that struggle with staying on task and show behavior; this child might have a smaller goal to meet the standard of the activity.

Every child deserves the same opportunity and it is my job as an advocate for them to make sure they are getting the best experience they can.

Cross cutural subjects

If the students are learning about say a period of time in history, this gives the opportunity to learn about the different aspects of the topic. For example, of I was teaching the history of Thanksgiving, I would incorporate the clothing of that time period. The food they ate and how was it coked. Where did it come from. Lots of areas of learning in subject in our history

Books are a great way to share about our families.

I would keep at this book out in my bookshelf all year long. This book represent that we embrace all cultures and types of families we may have in my classroom.

I will ask families to fill out a questionnaire about their child and if there any cultural beliefs that I should be aware of. Especially when it comes to food and other practices that relate to that student.

School education applications for learning

This application is used for many different languages to learn by students. These applications are approved by the school district before they are allowed access to these sites.

This well help me as well learn the languages for my students to better my communication abilities with them.

Christmas Around the World.

In kindergarten, my students take a trip around the world during the holidays. They attend four different countries and cultures actives along with factual information about these cultures they will learn about.

Germany-Children will decorate a gingerbread cookie. They will also listen to the story and will learn about how gingerbread houses were originally created there.

Isreal-Jewish culture- Students who share this culture can help educate the rest if the class. In this culture the children play a game called a dreidel and to add a math component they have to keep track of their coins. These coins were made form chocolate.

Spain- When you visit Spain, they learn how to say hello and goodbye. They also learn about how music is a huge part of their culture. Each student will make a maraca to take home.

Culture for here at school- All of the students get to create an ornament of their choice. This where they can use any colors, they choose to represent who they are keeping their cultures in mind.

Creating clear classroom norms

Literacy week at GJES

This is an event where we invite family members to come and read to any class you would like. To change this up I would like to invite to local authors that will come and read to some of our students. This gives the opportunity to have a author that written in a book in a different language or about different culture.

International night

Invite the families to attend international night. The school will host an event that exposes the different cultures that attend our school. there will a display of different countries and factual information about this country and the different aspects of this country's cultures. Including food, art, family and even sports.

Invite community members to parcticpate in actvites around the school.

Meet and greet the teacher

This is a few hours of hours classroom time to come and meet me during your summer as we transition to go back to school. I encourage all families to please come because the first day of school can be difficult.

Being available to families for the beginning shows them that I am a professional and want to see everyone succussed.

Creating and developing open lines of communication will really be beneficial for everyone involved.
