Em tên là Nguyễn Đức Thanh Sơn. Học sinh lớp 2G5, trường Tiểu học Isaac Newton.  Sắp tới, đất nước Việt Nam của em sẽ kỷ niệm 80 năm ngày Độc lập – 80 năm kiên cường và anh dũng. Là một người con của Việt Nam, em luôn yêu mến và tự hào về lịch sử hào hùng của dân tộc.  Hà Nội nơi em sinh sống nổi tiếng với nhiều danh lam thắng cảnh tuyệt đẹp. Nhưng khi Quốc khánh đang đến gần, nơi mà gia đình em muốn đến nhất chính là Quảng trường Ba Đình. Nơi đây chính là nơi Hồ Chủ Tịch vĩ đại của nhân dân Việt Nam đọc bản tuyên ngôn Độc lập khai sinh ra nước Việt Nam Dân chủ Cộng hoà. Để chia sẻ niềm vui trong ngày trọng đại này, em muốn gửi đến các thầy cô và bạn bè một bức ảnh chụp em tại trung tâm (trái tim) Ba Đình. Bức ảnh khiến em cảm thấy biết ơn vì nền hòa bình và độc lập mà chúng ta có được ngày hôm nay. Hello teachers and friends.

My name is  Thanh Son. I am a student of Class 2G5 at Isaac Newton Primary School. Coming up, my country Vietnam will celebrate 80 years of independence – 80 years of being strong and brave. As a child of Vietnam, I always love and feel proud of the our brave history. Hanoi, where I live, has many beautiful places to visit. But as Independence Day comes closer, the place my family wants to go to most is Ba Dinh Square. This is where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence and gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. To share the happiness of this big day, I want to send my teachers and friends a photo of me at the heart of Ba Dinh. It makes me feel thankful for the peace and independence we have today.

The Vietnamese heart always shines with pride and love for the homeland.

In my heart shines the flag so bright, Red flows in our blood, yellow shines on our skin– grateful to the past, proud of Vietnam within.

It’s not about a perfect background, but the journey behind this photo. I walked kilometers with my dad to stand at the heart of the crowd, witnessing the solemn rehearsal of the National Day parade. What made it even more special was joining my father – a journalist – to listen, interview, and work on the spot. A memory of pride and patriotism I’ll never forget!!!
