The plot is about how a woman's selfishness can interfere in other people's lives and get the men around her to do what she wants. It is also a thought-provoking reflection on whether to take an easy solution to an insolvency problem.

Although it’s not a great story, the author makes you feel at all times as if you were watching the events on a screen, imagining the places and the action.

This book is for any kind of reader who wants to improve their English as it contains a lot of new vocabulary and expressions. The vocabulary is not very difficult, although it does include some unusual words. Recommended for a quiet afternoon.

This is a short adaptation of the classic novel by the writer Charles Dickens, one of the most famous English storytellers of all time. The novel has been adapted for film, television and theatre.

The story takes place in London and Paris at the turbulent historical and social moment of the French Revolution. Dr. Manette is released from the Bastille after being unjustly imprisoned for 18 years and it is at this moment when his daughter Lucie finds out that her father is alive!... but for what reason did this happen?...  A intriguing and fascinating story has just begun!. A story full of love, desperation, hope and misery to discover through several characters that it introduces us to.

The contrast between the two cities is one of the most interesting things in this novel, since England was one of the most stable and prosperous countries in Europe at that time, in contrast to France, where social tension reigned and the majority of the population suffered from poverty and hunger. Another aspect that this novel deals with is that despite the bad times people are experiencing it´s possible to find kindness within most people.

Although the story is very condensed compared to the original, it´s well worth reading!.It`s a moving tale full of lights and shadows, which I strongly recommend, especially to people who enjoy reading historical novels, as well as to people who want to discover a classic and Dickens‘ work.
