They evolved to have a fishing-rod-like extension on their forehead which glows, allowing them to lure their prey in the dark and swiftly attack them.</div>]]></description>

They are carnivores and their main source of food is crustaceans, polychaete worms, whelks and clams if they are bottom dwelling, while ocean open octopi eat prawns, fish, and other cephalopods. They have evolved to be able to do RNA editing, which allows them adapt to their environment.</div>]]></description>
