This poem can be seen as a call - to - action because of the mood the author has set. The speaker slowly
starts to become more and more aggressive and at the end of the poem he says, "The mob-the crowd-the
mass-will arrive then." The speaker is indicating that someday "The people" will come, and take power
from those who don't deserve it.

"I am the People, the Mob" defines a coup because in the last stanza the author states, "The People" with any fleck of a sneer in his voice or any far-off smile of derision." "The mob-the crowd-the mass-will then arrive." From this I took that the people, the mob, and the mass will take power into their own hands not being so peaceful.
