I knew that if Abbott said it was bad, I probably thought it was awesome. So, I googled and checked Twitter to see what was up with CRT.

Dr. Haddad's class last semester was my first true introduction, which is extremely sad. And by the time it reached me, I had already started learning about it with Haddad coincidentally enough. But I guess before then, if I had heard it, I would have believed the same as others: that it was meant to teach white guilt. This would have come from my family's interpretation of it which they would have gotten from news outlets like CNN and MSNBC. My mother's family would have gotten it from Fox News and thought it was the devil whispering in our ears.
