This project helped my students realize that languages are powerful tools to connect people from different backgrounds. What made this experience unique was the fact that students didn’t just practice English — they were also introduced to various world languages through diverse tasks and peer interactions. This multicultural linguistic exposure increased their curiosity and motivation.

Some of the key activities we participated in included:

•Common Words Map, where students identified and shared words that are similar across languages,

•Creating Multilingual Dialogues using common daily expressions,

•Designing Posters about the importance of multilingualism

As a teacher, I appreciated the balance between language development, digital skills, and cultural awareness. I believe this project truly built a bridge not only between languages, but also between hearts.

In this project, students learnt other languages besides English. And while learning, they realised how much their mother tongue has in common with most languages.

As a foreign language teacher, it was a good experience for me to see my students using and learning languages other than English.

During the project, we worked on tasks like finding common words in different languages, writing short multilingual dialogues, creating a bulletin board and digital contents including both videos and digital designs that reinforced students´awareness of the value of learning languages. All in all, these activities helped them improve not only their language skills but also their digital skills. They also got the chance to learn about other cultures and work with students from other schools. To my mind, they were motivated to participate in this project.

For me as a teacher, it was also a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with colleagues from other schools, which made the experience even more enriching.

One of the most valuable aspects of the project was its emphasis on the role of languages as a bridge between cultures. My students not only had the chance to improve their English skills, but they were also exposed to a variety of world languages through interactive and engaging tasks. This exposure sparked their curiosity and motivated them to explore linguistic and cultural diversity beyond the classroom.

Key activities such as the Common Words Map, Multilingual Dialogues, and Poster Design on Multilingualism allowed students to develop not only their language competence but also their digital literacy, creativity, and intercultural understanding.

As a teacher, I particularly appreciated how the project successfully combined language learning with 21st-century skills and global citizenship education. It empowered students to become open-minded individuals who value diversity and communication.
