It is important that we lead with receiving the data as it is presented and ensure every step in the process feels natural and authentic. I feel like the references to "data" have always been assumed to be about quantitative data; qualitative data and research has often been viewed as "unreliable." I think we have always needed a more balanced approach to data gathering that is more comprehensive, thoughtfully and responsibly designed/collected, and student-experience-centered to truly understand the equity stories in our system and how to impact them to transform students' experience.
