Started my education with a certificate of proficiency in business from Tyler Junior College, followed by an AA from TJC, BS from UT Tyler (UTT) major in Criminal Justice. Worked about 20 years in business world before a career change acquiring my AS in Nursing from Trinity Valley Community College. MS from UTT with Allied Health Major and minors in Criminal Justice and Public Administration, PhD in Educational Human Resource Development from Texas A&M College Station. Returned to UTT and completed my BSN which we know is considered the minimal desire for nurses in Magnet or facilities seeking Magnet. My present goal is to top off my nursing education with a certificate in nursing education. Seems I never cease to seek opportunities to continue learning myself. I'm convinced regardless of my education or work experience I will continue to learn until the day I cease to breathe.

My loving husband, David, of 35 years passed away about 4 1/2 years ago after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Now Daisy Dog and I enjoy spending time with Mom & Dad and working to finish up some of the projects David & I started. The Lindale tornado at the end of April this year came through my area so it has created some challenges for cleanup on my place and parents, as well as, throughout our neighborhood. My family in this area and my neighbors were all very blessed to walk out of our homes unharmed with all the damage displayed around us.
I have a strong faith in God and attempt to follow his lead for whatever future plan he has for me.

My "Daisy" Dog
