The reflector reflects the light rays onto the model or object. Depending on if the reflector is gold, silver, white or black you can get different casts of light on the object or model. We use a gold reflector and it had cast a golden yellow light on the model so that the colors aren't super bright and too white. You can use the reflector by angling it in different ways so that the light bounces off the reflector and goes onto the model or item you are trying to light up.

2. I think the reflector helped when taking the photos outside. With the reflector, we were able to make a photo more bright. Also to take the harsh light and add the reflector to add a more soft, golden light to our photos. Without the reflector the light could be too harsh and white or it could be too dark. 

3. I think the studio lightning was very cool and made the photos look very professional. Also they turned the photos into looking like senior portraits. I personally thought the backgrounds were cool but I wouldn't pick them to take photos. I like very simple colors with minimal patterns and clean lines because I want the model or item to pop instead of focusing on the background. The backgrounds were just not my personal favorites but they did photograph well. I would of preferred a white or soft color background.

4. My favorite shots were in natural lighting. I liked how bright the photos were but also that they had a golden light and looked more natural. I feel like studio lighting looks more professional while in natural lightning and backgrounds they don't look as staged or serious. I feel like the ones outside capture the person more and their personality.

5. I honestly can't pick a favorite photo because I loved all of them so much and it was so hard for me to just pick eight. Each collection in the different backgrounds has its own story even if the model was wearing the same outfit. The ones in front of the white are more edgy, the red background is more mysterious because you wonder who she is looking at, the plant one's show her natural side and show us how much she loves nature, the lavender background shows Jasmine's fun side and the portrait ones show us their model esc vibes. Each photo is completely different and I love each and everyone. 

6. I think I learned a lot about photography from this activity. I learned that you should never shoot portraits in direct sunlight because it makes the person have dark shadows on their face. Also that you should almost always use a reflector because they actually add a nice cast to the photos. When taking portraits outside flash can help photos not be dark.
