However, purchasing two or more will reduce each pair's price to $40 each, without tax. Subsequently, one pair for about $60 and two or more for $40 each. This tactic is effective because the word "save" makes customers want to buy more for less. If customers feel like they are "saving" money overall, although they will most likely end up spending more than planned, they will try to take advantage of the offer. This is also an effective technique because purchasing two regular priced jeans in separate transactions totals up to almost $120. Purchasing more pairs under one transactions drastically reduces the selling price of each individual pair.
