Deadly typhoons, are occurring more often now because of the rising temperatures causing hurricanes to form more easily because of the warmer water and travel farther inland because of the energy it gains. This has forced people who in the Phillippines to migrate out of their countries out of places that would have been safe 100 years ago. For example typhoon Manghkut which recently hit the Philippines in September was one of the most powerful typhoons that has ever hit there and they are only excepted to get bigger.

Due to the increasing use of palm oil, a very cheap ingredient found in many frozen foods and everyday items. The rainforests of Indonesia are being cut down at alarming rates. The corrupt Indonesian government and corrpurations have not implied any penalties and backlashes, to limit the diminishment of these important rainforests. These trees are vital for the consumption of carbon dioxide and releasing of oxygen. When cut down these trees can no longer consume CO2 and then release it once again into the atmosphere where it contributes to the greenhouse effect.
