Relationship to Culture

My aphorism says that the couple that cooks together, eats together. My aphorism fits in the food and drink part of culture, but it's also saying that a couple that does work together benefits together, like working through problems together. This shows that I value food and drink in my personal culture and think that it is a great way to build relationships and strengthen them.

The American Dream

My aphorism relates to the American Dream in a number of ways. My first thought was marriage, but I think it goes beyond that, so community is a better way to see its connection. For an American Dream to work, there has to be people to share it with - a shared dream becomes a reality - and since my aphorism has to do with relationships, it's important to have a strong relationship with your community. That can lead to happiness and fulfillment, which the American Dream is all about.
