In leadership we worked as a team and made a parachute that had to protect an egg after dropping it from a certain height. I think it went well as the egg didn't break but to do better we could've used less material so it wouldn't weigh it down as much

at work last summer we had a party for over 100 people in the beer garden and we had to work together to handle the bar and waiting on for the party as well as other customers outside and in the pub. what i think we could've done better is how many staff we had working as it was really busy that day and we could've done with more help but i think we handled it really well

at college we had to close the roads for a graduation that was going past. we had to work together to make sure the public knew what was happening. something that went well was that we successfully blocked the roads without anyone saying anything

I’m currently resitting maths as a need to get at least a grade 4. This motivates me because I need to get the right grade to get into uni.

I work in customer service and sometimes we get complaints about service and food so I take responsibility in making sure that managers are made aware of the complaints and explain to the customers what we’re doing about the mistake to make it better for them

When we hire new people at work I help them to know the basics and show them where everything is and have them shadow me while serving customers so they know what they need to do

The place I work can rely on me as I'm there at least half an hour before my shift so they know I’m never late and i always put effort into my shifts. I also put myself forward for extra shifts, cover shifts for staff and if they need extra staff in if it’s busy and im not doing anything I’ll go in to help as long as they need me to

At work we can get some difficult customers that make a big deal out of complaining about anything and there’s been times where they’ve shouted at me for the mistake that’s been made even if it isn’t in my control but I try not to let it bother me and I’ll let management know what’s happened and stay positive towards the customer instead of letting someone else take over the problem for me if I can’t handle it.

I’ve failed maths 4 times but I’m still resilient to try and pass so I can get the grades I need

Last year for some assignments I got merits but I wanted to get distinctions so I instead of just leaving them as they were I asked what I needed to do to get a better grade and got distinctions instead

At work I have experience in handling conflict with customers when they make a complaint about something and trying to diffuse the situation so that I can make their meal better for them while apologising for the mistake

I have experience in mentoring new staff for example we’ve had 3 new staff have trial shifts last week and I showed them where everything was and how everything needs to be done

last month I sat through a sustainability talk at college where they covered things like how much carbon-footprint we contribute, what to do to be more sustainable and how things like this can stop damage towards the environment

instead of getting to college by car i get the bus there and back meaning less fuels are being emitted into the air
