  •  Mali is one of the hottest countries in the world. Most of Mali receives negligible rainfall and droughts are very frequently. Late June to early December is the rainy season in the southern area. During this time, flooding of the Niger River is common.
  • gazelles, desert foxes, sandfish, gerbils and scorpions. Other animals found in Mali are antelopes, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, lions, baboons, and hippopotamuses which can be seen along the River Niger.
