Abe got into a car accident because of texting and driving and lost his leg a a result. He gets anxious and nervous when he hears the song that was playing during the accident. Abe is now physically and emotionally damaged. He has had chronic pain and has been taking over-the-counter medications. Abe doesn't admit it, but he gets anxious, tense and always seems on edge. He feels people treat him differently because of his disability. Abe's therapist reports him as feeling sad, fatigue, difficulty sleeping and continuous pain. -Piaget’s theory of cognitive development states that accommodation which learning are modified to fit new objects or problems. This relates to Abe’s accident because he has taught himself that throughout his life he is not good enough
