         <description><![CDATA[<div>'Getting Bodies and Brains in gear'. <br><br>Doing exercise fuels brain power. Cardio-activity increases the flow of Oxygen into the bloodstream, which increases the students ability to concentrate. <br><br><br>Therefore, teachers should ensure a collaboration with academic and physical activities to get the students moving during class and heighten concentration during lessons. <br><br><br>These exercise breaks create changes to classroom routines that will allow children to remain focused and thus retain more information. Perry supports this, stating ''Only 4-8 minutes of pure factual lecture can be tolerated before the brain seeks other stimuli''.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Learning through discovery and experience encourages hands on, minds on learning. Learning in this way encourages children to achieve a deeper conceptual understanding.<br><br>See Kolb’s learning cycle below.<br><br>Concrete learning, requires children to be actively involved in doing something. This will require the teacher to set up problem solving activities.<br><br>Reflective observation, enables the children to review and reflect on what they have experienced, through completing a learning log or report on what they have experienced. <br><br>Abstract conceptualisation, encourages children to discover the theory behind why certain things have happened. This can be achieved through researching. <br><br>Active experimentation, involves children planning how they are going to put what they have learnt into practice. This can be achieved through fieldwork. <br><br>The teacher can start at any stage of the cycle to enable discovery learning. However, thinking does not happen in a set cycle, which can therefore be seen as a limitation to this learning theory. <br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some teachers do not understand this theory well as they think they have to teach subjects using the intelligence the child is good at. Teachers may excessively focus on the child's specific talent and apply this to all subjects of learning. However, this is not what Gardener proposed. </div>]]></description>
