My first day at the spa began at 11 AM. We were welcomed by Datin Diana, who gave us a briefing about the beauty spa, including its history, philosophy, and the services offered. We learned the SOPs, how to create bills, and the clock in/clock out system.

The highlight was the training on full body massage. We practiced various massage techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors. This first day was filled with valuable information and experiences.

On the second day at the spa (10a.m), I started with clocking in. My first task was to clean the spa with hot water, ensuring every corner was spotless and hygienic.

After finishing the cleaning duties, I was assigned to create feedback posts using Canva for two locations: Telaga Bunga Spa and D&D Beauty House at Sunway Putra Mall. These posts were for the Hari Raya Promotion. I designed attractive and informative graphics, including positive customer reviews and details about the ongoing promotion.

This second day helped me improve my skills in maintaining spa cleanliness and using creativity for marketing purposes. I'm getting more accustomed to the routines and responsibilities at the spa.

On the third day at the spa, I started with the same routine. I clocked in and continued the task of cleaning the spa with hot water to ensure it remained spotless and hygienic.

After completing the cleaning duties, I had the opportunity to learn facial treatments with the instructor. We covered essential steps in performing a facial, including cleansing, exfoliating, applying masks, and facial massage. The instructor explained each stage in detail and provided tips to achieve the best results for clients.

This third day not only reinforced my daily routine but also expanded my skills in delivering professional facial treatments.

On the fourth day at the spa, I followed the same routine but at a different location, Telaga Bunga Spa at Royal Chulan. I changed into a new work uniform and started by sweeping the dust and trash in the spa lobby and treatment rooms.

After the cleaning tasks, I listened to a briefing from the spa owner, who also gave us a tour of the hotel and spa. Part of the routine included lighting candles in the hotel lobby. Later, I learned how to fold towels and organize the storage room with part-time workers.

That day, I also created promotional posts for Ramadan and Hari Raya, which I shared on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Stories. Additionally, I responded to customer messages on WhatsApp and assisted clients at the counter by explaining treatments and handling bookings.

On the fifth day at the spa, I followed the same routine. I clocked in, changed into my work uniform, and started by cleaning the lobby and treatment rooms, sweeping up trash and dust to ensure everything was tidy.

I continued with the task of lighting candles in the hotel lobby to create a calming atmosphere. Then, As before, I created promotional posts for Ramadan and Hari Raya, which I shared on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Stories. I also responded to customer messages on WhatsApp and assisted clients at the counter, explaining the various treatments and helping them with bookings.

This fifth day reinforced my understanding of the daily routines at the spa and how to provide excellent service to customers.

On the sixth day of my internship at Telaga Bunga Spa, Royal Chulan, I began by clocking in and opening the shift. I changed into my uniform and went downstairs to light the aromatherapy candles in the hotel lobby.

After setting the ambiance, I returned to the spa to sweep and mop the floors, ensuring everything was clean and welcoming. I also boiled hot water in the kitchen as part of the daily preparations.

I was in charge of the reception area, greeting clients and managing appointments. Additionally, I worked on marketing tasks, creating promotional posts for spa treatments, advertising job openings, and designing posters using Canva.

This day further solidified my skills in maintaining the spa’s environment and enhancing its visibility through effective marketing strategies.

On the seventh day of my internship at Telaga Bunga Spa, Royal Chulan, I followed the same routine as before. I clocked in, opened the shift, and changed into my uniform. I went downstairs to light the aromatherapy candles in the hotel lobby, then returned to the spa to sweep and mop the floors.

Today was particularly exciting because a customer came in for a sauna, scrub, and floral bath. I had the opportunity to assist the spa owner with these treatments. I followed along closely, learning the proper techniques and procedures for each treatment while actively participating in the process.

This hands-on experience was invaluable, allowing me to learn while working and gaining practical skills in providing these luxurious treatments to customers.

On the eighth day of my internship at Telaga Bunga Spa, Royal Chulan, I began with the usual routine. I clocked in, opened the shift, and changed into my uniform. I then went downstairs to light the aromatherapy candles in the hotel lobby, creating a soothing atmosphere for guests.

Afterward, I returned to the spa to sweep and mop the floors, ensuring the space was clean and welcoming.

Throughout the day, I was in charge of the reception area, greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling inquiries. I continued with my marketing tasks, creating promotional posts for spa treatments and designing posters for job openings using Canva.

In addition, I created a special poster for Nuzul Quran, highlighting special promotions and offers in celebration of this significant occasion. Although there were no customers for booking and walk in, the day was still productive and reinforced my understanding of the daily operations and marketing efforts needed to keep the spa running smoothly.

On the ninth day of my internship at Telaga Bunga Spa, Royal Chulan, I began with the usual routine. I clocked in, opened the shift, and changed into my uniform. I went downstairs to light the aromatherapy candles in the hotel lobby, creating a calming atmosphere for guests.

Afterward, I returned to the spa to sweep and mop the floors, ensuring the space was clean and inviting.

During the day, I managed the reception area, greeting clients, handling appointments, and answering inquiries. The spa owner instructed me to create and post a special Raya offer poster instead of Ramadan promotions, as we are not a corporate company.

I was also tasked with finding existing videos or creating new ones to post on TikTok and Instagram to promote our special Raya offers. We decided to skip job advertisement posts for now.

Additionally, I learned a new protocol for handling customer inquiries about promotions: if a customer shows interest in our services after asking about promotions, I should immediately send them our company’s account number and request a RM100 deposit to confirm their booking.

Overall, the day was busy and engaging, providing me with more hands-on experience in marketing and customer service.

On the tenth day of my internship at Telaga Bunga Spa, Royal Chulan, I began by retrieving the keys from level B1. I clocked in and opened the shift, counted the money, and changed into my uniform.

I started my tasks by sweeping and mopping the floors, ensuring the spa was clean and inviting. Next, I lit the candles in both the hotel lobby and the spa to create a calming ambiance.

After setting up the candles, I went to the lobby to adjust and fix the banner and bunting displayed there. Once that was done, I helped organize the pantry with the part-time workers and the spa owner. We cleared out old items and containers, mopped the pantry floor, and neatly arranged everything.

This tenth day was productive and busy, reinforcing the importance of maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that promotional materials are properly displayed.
