Every piece of the garment means something or it brings me a certain special feeling otherwise if the garment does not bring the best feeling I would not have owned it. I am a strong believer in Quality and good-looking clothes never been a person who likes high fashion that much but I do have a few pieces that I would like to own when I do have money.

As a person what I have learned about my garments is that most of them are not made from cotton fabric because I was not looking and searching for the kind of materials most of my garments are made of. so always thought most of them are just made from cotton and also I notice that I don’t have as much knowledge of different kinds of materials so I think I should give myself time and learn more.

This has also made me think that my garments are not strong enough so next time I need to check first on what kind of fabrics are used in my garments and also make sure that I buy less of the garments that are polluting the environment by more clothes that are made without using the chemicals.

My Garment is 100% imported from other countries such as India and Vietnam most of my garments are garments that I bought maybe more than five years ago if I am not mistaken so I became aware of the importance of buying local when I started studying.

Most of my clothes are produced by the fast fashion industry such as Markham and Nike I obviously feel bad About how my garments are a part of creating this environmental pollution

Unfortunately, my garments are not biodegradable because they are made with fabric so the fibers that are used in making the fabric are not sustainable and they cannot decompose also In the garments that I have used in this Assignment there is the only one which is 100% made from cotton and the other ones are made from 50% polyester and 50% cotton.

As a fashion designer, I have learned that I am not a person who likes formal clothes I only own one formal shirt and I only wear it maybe once or twice a year so it is important for me to buy clothes that I will always use not buying because I can afford to buy sometimes.

Rei Kawakubo's is a Genius when it comes to coming to designing garments that never been created before her design's has really challenged the beauty standards that is set by the fashion industry. everything that she has designed shows that they were no rules which were followed for an example if look at her collection spring 2005 "Motorbike Ballerina" no one could ever think that Motorbike and ballerina garments can come together and be one garment because both of this garments are from teo different worlds so the design was very unexpected.

Comme Des Garcons as a clothing brought a new perspective in the fashion industry garments in some of the collection in Comme Des Garcons were looking unfinished like unfinished herms, unfinished edges and also having things like holes. so it created a new perspective to what people were use to but you can tell that it inspired a lot of designers because you can see some of her inspiration in some of today fashion designers.

The journalists in Paris fashion week were writing bad things about Rei Kawakubo's fashion sense because her designs were unusual designs her designs were very provocative they pushed and challenged the normative beauty standards and her designs shaped the thinking of the artists.

Rei Kawakubo's designs have shifted my way of thinking how fashion should be like especially what the world perceive as sexy she never pay attention to that. she ignored the idea of creating garments with the usual silhouttes in some of her designs she dislocated every parts of the garments pattern if you look at her one of the most famous collection "dress meets body, body meets dress" that unlike everyone was use to in fashion.

In her collections she has ignored the what most people call sexy which is having slim waist and waist like a hourglass look but most of Rei Kawakubo's collection has been about creating something that has never been designed before and also make women comfortable with whatever is their body shape and wear whatever they are comfortable with no matter how different it is from what other people are wearing.

Rei Kawakubo never compromise her artistic integrity she always made collection which was unexpected with her silhouettes. she always made sure that her collection was something that have never been seen before. it made more people to be comfortable with wearing what ever they like. Knowing her history and looking at the designers today she is really an icon and can 100% agree that she is a designer of designers because of the freedom of designing and inspiration she has brought in fashion design.

Rei Kawakubo have challenged and change the dress-making, tailoring skills and techniques she has break boundaries and incourage me as a fashion student to think outside of the box and be able to express myself through design. she has challenged the artistic authenticity because if you look the designers are doing the same thing over and over again that why her garments are not like something you have seen before.

Comme Des Garcons as a clothing brand created a new wave If you look at the collection "not making clothes" the techniques and skills that were used to create those garments were very out of this world you can tell that Rei Kawakubo is not just a fashion designer by looking at her garments.

Rei Kawakubo is one of the designers who have challenged the stereotypes that were set by fashion industry she created garments that have never been seen before when you look at one of her collection which is 2D collection she created garments which had that playfulness she bridge that gab between adult she made garments which were very colorful which challenge the stereotypes of adult clothing because adult are always expected to wear warm dark colors.

she challenge the normative of beauty set by the fashion industry one of the collection that standout for me is collection called "broken bride". Rei Kawakubo wanted to break rules of wedding dresses she wanted to show that marriage is not necessary happy but she did amazing that collection because she showed that can actually make or renew some of the garments and tell a brand new story.
