Some places even have them as a cultural delicacy for people to eat. But bats are not supposed to be eaten. Research has shown, that bats carries infection and diseases through their bodies. It mostly will cause rabbies and other sickness like fever and headaches. 

Bats are the types that wont go extinct any time soon, but that does not make a reason for us to consume them. Their exotic mammals that are facinating in their own way for example, they are the only mammals that could fly and without them, might as well say goodbye to bananas, manggoes, and avocados. Even when they are sometimes an annoying type of creatures, life won't be the same about them. Who can resist the cuteness of a cat? That tiny nose and "nya" noise with their pillow paw?! Yeah, no thanks. I am not eating that. But why would people eat cat? Why they don't care about them, and why should we ban it?

In some Asian country, a lot of people eat dogs and cats, and even rats or bats, and it's normal. You see, the reason they choose to eat cats is because it's their culture and they want to maintain the culture, they believe that eating cats, dogs, bats, or rats could give them eternity, or either they don't have a lot of farm animal in their area. All three factor leads to why Asian people ended up eating those. 

Now we know the factors, but should we really ban the usage of cat as a food? Well, certainly yes. 25.4% of our world population have cats as their pets, and even 38.4% of the world population have dogs as their pets. Some people even have cats as their emotional support pet. Not enough argument? Eating cat certainly will not being you any good luck or eternity, but will give you a disease. Cats are infected by tons of bacteria, viruses, and bad things that's not supposed to be inside out stomach. I definitely wouldn't want to have those, I mean would anyone? Not just that but let's think on how do they get the cats. I mean, certainly they don't have a farm to breed a cat as that would cost a lot of money to do. There has been some cases where people lost their pets just to find out that their love has been butchered to death.

Asia is one of the most unique part of the world. A lot of diversity, and a lot of exotic food. Cats, dogs, rats, and bats are one of them. But that doesn't mean that we must maintain some culture that's dangerous or not accepted by the majority. In the US, rats are considered unsafe to eat because they carry disease.

Some rats can be considered safe to eat when properly handled, prepared, and fully cooked. In places where rats are normally consumed , people eat rats found in fields and not “city rats.” It is said that the rat meats taste similar to squirrel, rabbit, and even chicken.

Rats do clean themselves often in a similar manner to cats, but they are not considered clean animals by any means.
