Dali's The Persistence of Memory is usually my immediate thought. I often think of fantastical settings beyond the reach of the natural world. Personal goals for myself are to be more confident and self-assured, I often struggle with this no matter how hard I try. The main subject of the piece is this massive Kraken that is slowly taking over not only the scene depicted in the painting, but the actual canvas as well. 
6. The Kraken is a representation of my own self confidence. It exists and wants to break free from my own doubt and insecurity (The ocean) but it being held back by fear (Net)
7. I don't think I will include a figure, but if I do it would be a small on on the deck of the pirate ship

10. The piece will be on a canvas and can be hung or propped up. (I may screw in a wire for hanging if the piece is too difficult to just prop up)
