I could see he was frustrated by it" As mentioned before, for many veterans its really frustrating because the hot new things are not about them anymore, and the money is focused on the new wave. J Cole rapped about mumble rappers in a song called Everybody dies, he raps "Bunch of words and ain't sayin' &%$, I hate these rappers

To know exactly what mumble rap is we have to know more about the culture of rap. Rap is a form of music composed of rhyme schemes that are structured by word play, and the more creative and formulated they are, the bigger they get. Hip Hop and Rap have been around since the 70s and it's a whole culture with its icons and sub-divisions, one of them being mumble rap. Rappers usually recite 16 bars before the chorus, the level of word play in each bar can vary. From a whole dictionary of similes, synonyms, metaphors to simple and easy word play. Essentially that's what separates lyrical rap and mumble rap, the complexity and structure of each bar. Mumble rap usually prefers melody and flow over lyricism and only talks about mostly 3 things; Money, Females and drugs.
